Earthworks

Earthworks are the key to a successful development. Get them wrong and it can be very costly.

Often it is not easy to appreciate the benefit of having the earthworks volumes evaluated prior to outline planning but ask any developer who has had problems and they will tell you how essential it is to get them right.  To get a full assessment of the viability of a proposed development you must take all of the factors affecting the construction costs into account.

This means that fitting your development on a plan of the proposed site is not sufficient.  A rough estimation of the position and length of required retaining structures are no longer sufficient to enable the developer to accurately determine the site viability.

Rises in the cost of material deposition have resulted in the exportation of site material often being a major cost factor. Consequently it is necessary to evaluate  the full effect that earthworks have on the development prior to deciding to proceed to the planning application stage.
